Polygoning

The Polygonise function splits the selected arcs or solid circles into polylines, i.e., converts them into polygons. The corner points of the polygon lie on the former circle line. By specifying the peak-to-valley depth, you can determine the maximum distance between the polyline and the former circle line.

NOTICE

To convert regular polygons back into arcs or full circles, the Clean function or the Smooth function must be used. See also functions Clean and Smooth.

Polygonise arcs and full circles

  1. Under CAD > Change > Change circle, click the Polygonisebutton.
  1. Enter the peak-to-valley depth and define whether all arcs or full circles should be polygonised.
  1. Click on OK.
  • If you have specified that all arcs or full circles are to be polygonised: All arcs and full circles are directly polygonised and the function is ended.
  • Otherwise: All arcs or full circles are highlighted in white.
  1. Select the arcs and solid circles to be polygonised.
  • The selected elements are polygonised and highlighted in red.
  1. Click Close.
  • The function is ended and the changes are applied.
