Contour path nibbling parameters dialogue box

Diameter

Here, the tool diameter, which was predefined depending on the current machine and the selected material, is displayed. If no suitable tool is available, a dialogue box for tool selection is opened.

Offset

Here, you can enter the value that is added or subtracted as an allowance for the contour. The function is only available if the traverse path is calculated equidistantly without path correction.

Lead-in path

Here, you activate the generation of a lead-in path. This allows you to define a starting point outside the contour for machining. The lead-in path is not possible with the Centred and Loop methods.

Lead-out path

Here, the generation of a lead-out path is activated. This allows you to define an end point outside the contour for machining. The lead-out path is not possible with the Centred and Loop methods.

Nibbling methods

Equidistant

With this option, the tool path is calculated offset by half the tool diameter from the contour. If the traverse path is set to Equidistant, path correction must not be activated.

Loop

With this option, a loop is added to the tool path at outer corners of the contour outline. It is not possible to generate a lead-in path or lead-out path with this method.

Centred

This option sets the tool path exactly on the contour. When the traverse path is set to Centred, path correction must be activated. It is not possible to generate a lead-in path or lead-out path with this method.

Rounded corner

This option automatically rounds corners.
