Basic parameters tab
Edges and distances
Here, you enter the distances of the edges to the top, bottom, left and right
Separating dimension in X
Here, you enter the separation distance in the X direction.
Separating dimension in Y
Here, you enter the separation distance in the Y direction.
Minimum width of sheet edge at bottom when sliding into corner 1 or 2
Here, you enter the minimum width that is to be kept free at the bottom edge of the sheet when it is moved to corner 1 or 2.
Sorting before nesting
Part sorting
Here, you select how the parts are sorted before nesting. This sorting determines the sequence in which the parts (in full quantities) are nested one after another. The selection can be made via the drop-down list or the dialogue box that opens via the button.. See also Parts sorting dialogue box.
Sorting by nesting
Part sorting
Here, you select the pattern according to which the sheet is to be processed. The selection can be made via the drop-down list or the dialogue box that opens via the button.. See also Sorting parameters dialogue box.
Sorting width
The width for the rows of the pattern is entered here.
Sheet sorting
Here, you select how the sheets are sorted according to nesting. The sorting serves as a sequence for production. The selection can be made via the drop-down list or the dialogue box that opens via the button.. See also Sheet sorting parameters dialogue box.
Separation cut parameters
Minimum shear width
The minimum shear width is entered here.
Shear cuts
The number of shear cuts is selected here.
Allowed overlap
The permitted overlap is entered here.
Nesting parameters
Nesting strategy
Here, you select the nesting strategy to be used. Depending on the strategy, the nesting types pixel nesting, power nesting and place nesting are combined in different ways. See also Nesting strategy dialogue box.
Nesting corner
Here, you select in which corner the nesting should start. If corners are combined with one another, all specified corners are nested and the best result is adopted. The selection can be made via the drop-down list or the dialogue box that opens via the button.. See also Nest corner dialogue box.
Storage corner
Here, you select the corner into which the nesting result is moved after nesting. The selection can be made via the drop-down list or the dialogue box that opens via the button.. See also Storage corner dialogue box.
Nesting direction
Here, you select in which direction(s) the parts are nested, starting from the nesting corner. The selection can be made via the drop-down list or the dialogue box that opens via the button.. See also Nesting direction dialogue box.
Part parameters
Check geometry and NC part-part
With this option, the distance between parts is taken into account for NC elements (lead-in paths or tool geometries) when nesting.
Check geometry and NC part-sheet edge
With this option, NC elements (lead-in paths or tool geometries) are taken into account during nesting for the distance of parts from the sheet edge.
Check station allocation
With this option, the parts for each sheet are selected so that the existing tool stations are sufficient and do not have to be refitted. The utilisation of the sheet can therefore be somewhat lower. The option is only for punching and combination machines.
Part rotation also during disposal
With this option, parts that have a disposal via flap, stop or lift may be rotated in the nesting. Since this changes the position of the disposal, the order of machining after nesting must be corrected.
Allow angle > 90 degrees
With this option, angles greater than 90 degrees are allowed.
Minimum part position in X
This option activates a minimum part position in the X direction.
Minimum part position in Y
This option activates a minimum part position in the Y direction.
Group formation
This option generates groups. This function is only suitable for punching machines that can work with subroutines via an NC program.
Sheet parameters
Determine optimal sheet
This option nests on all specified sheet formats and applies the formats that have the best utilisation. The nesting result can be a mixture of different sheet formats.
Rotate standard sheets by 90 degrees
With this option, all specified standard sheets are rotated by 90 degrees for nesting.
Max. number of different items per sheet
The maximum number of different parts on a sheet is entered here. The specification "0" means that the number is unlimited.
Multiple runs
Number of runs
The maximum number of times a nesting sheet can be produced is entered here. The nesting then contains as few different sheets as possible, which may, however, be produced several times up to the specified value. This may reduce the utilisation of the sheets.
Minimum utilisation in %
Here, you enter the minimum percentage utilisation required for a sheet to be produced several times.
Global divider
Here, you enter the minimum number of times each sheet is to be produced. The quantities of the parts are rounded up according to the global divider and fewer different sheets are produced. In this case, the maximum number of pieces allowed for a part can be exceeded.
Buttons
Set default nesting parameters
The respective default value is reset for all parameters.
