Unfold from surface

The Unfold from surface function unfolds the current model from the surface selected as the top surface based on the set parameters. See also function Bending parameters.

If the top and bottom sides were not automatically detected during model analysis (model type: Unknown), all faces are available for selection as top faces. However, the information about detected macros and bends is discarded after selecting a top face.

Unfold 3D model from the surface

  1. Under Unfolding > Unfolding > Unfold model, click the Unfold from surface button.
  • The 3D model is processed based on the set parameters.
  • It switches to view as processing.
