Printer setup

In addition to the default printer, the Printer setup function can be used to activate additional printers for labels, HTML or PDF formats. Furthermore, files can be opened and printed via a search in the print preview.

Activating a printer

NOTICE! New printers must always be activated via the printer setup.

  1. Click the Printer setup button under Menu > Print.
  1. Select a tab with a print format.
  1. Click the Settings button.
  1. To activate a new printer, click New entry.
  • The Printer selection dialogue box opens.
  1. Select a printer.
  1. Click on OK.
  • The Change printer dialogue box opens. See also Change printer dialogue box.
  1. Select the computer name, user, printer and the type of document.

NOTICE! Make sure you set the format (HTML, PDF or Label) correctly, depending on which tab you selected at the beginning.

  1. Click on OK.
  • The printer has been added to the printer list.
  1. Click OKin the Printer list dialogue box.
  1. In the PN4000 printer dialogue box, click the Save BAT button to activate the new printer.
  1. Close the PN4000 printer dialogue box.
  • The printer has been set up and activated.

NOTICE! To be able to print with the activated printer, the function must be closed and reopened after setup.

Edit a printer

  • You have already activated a printer in this function.
  1. Click the Printer setup button under Menu > Printer.
  • The PN4000 printer dialogue box opens.
  1. Select a tab with a print format.
  1. Click the Settings button.
  1. Select a printer.
  1. Click Edit.
  • The Change printer dialogue box opens.
  1. Perform the required changes.
  1. Click on OK.
  1. Click OKin the Printer list dialogue box.
  1. Close the PN4000 printer dialogue box.
  • The changes are applied.

Deleting a printer

  • You have already activated a printer in this function.
  1. Click the Printer setup button under Menu > Printer.
  1. Select a tab with a print format.
  1. Click the Settings button.
  1. Select a printer.
  1. Click on Delete.
  1. Confirm the deletion of the data set with Yes.
  1. Click OKin the Printer list dialogue box.
  1. Close the PN4000 printer dialogue box.
  • The printer has been deleted from the printer list.

Preview and print a document

  • You have activated a printer in the Printer setup function.
  1. Click the Printer setup button under Menu > Printer.
  1. Select a tab with a print format.
  1. Click the Search button.
  1. Select a file.
  1. Click Open.
  • The preview of the document opens.
  1. Click the Print button.
  • The document will be printed.
