Set orientation
With the Set orientation function, the geometry can be automatically rotated so that the longest side of the part is aligned in the X direction.
This function can be found in the following places:
- CAD > File > Clean
- Lasering > File > Clean
- Punching > File > Clean
- Combi > File > Clean
- Milling > File > Clean
Optimise orientation for production
- You have opened the CAD or NC model of a part.
- Click the Set orientation button.
- The Part position with rotation angle dialogue box opens. See also Part position with rotation angle dialogue box.
- The geometry is rotated into the best position for production.
- Make your desired settings and click OK.
- The function is ended.
