Geometry nesting
The Geometry nesting function is used to nest various parts on sheets or blanks. Nesting is based on the actual geometry of the individual parts. This function is suitable for parts with irregular shape.
Nesting parts according to their geometry
- Under Nesting > Nesting > Geometry nesting, click the Geometry nesting button.
- The Nesting job dialogue box opens. See also: Nesting job dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings.
- Click on OK.
- The Nesting parameters dialogue box opens. See also: Nesting parameters dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings.
- Click on OK.
- The Workpieces to nest dialogue box opens. See also Dialogue box with tables.
- List the parts to be nested here.
- Click on OK.
- The Sheet parameters dialogue box opens. See also Dialogue box with tables.
- List the sheet formats to be used for nesting here.
- Click on OK.
- The parts are nested.
- If you have allowed several sheet formats for nesting and the Determine only one format option is active under the Basic parameters tab, the Select nesting job dialogue box opens. See also Dialogue box with tables. Select the appropriate nesting job here and click OK.
- The nesting result is displayed and the most important key figures are displayed in a window.
