Fill nesting
The Fill nesting function can be used to fill free spaces in a nesting by nesting parts from an archive or the order pool. The parts can be nested based on the actual geometry (geometry nesting) or the hull (rectangle nesting).
Fill nesting: With parts from the order pool
- Under Nesting > Nesting > Geometry nesting, click the Fill nesting button.
- The Fill nesting dialogue box opens. See also Fill nesting dialogue box.
- Select the Fill with articles from the order pool option and click OK.
- The Selection from order pool dialogue box opens. See also Selection from order pool dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The Order pool dialogue box opens. See also Dialogue box with tables.
- Select the parts to be nested and click OK.
- The Fill nesting parameters dialogue box opens. See also Fill nesting parameters dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- If the Nesting parameters dialogue box opens: See also Nesting parameters dialogue box. Proceed to the next step.
- If the Nesting result dialogue box opens: See also Nesting result dialogue box. The parts were nested. Continue with step 7.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The parts are nested.
- The Nesting result dialogue box opens. See also Nesting result dialogue box.
- Click on OK.
- The function is ended.
Fill nesting: With parts from an archive
- Under Nesting > Nesting > Geometry nesting, click the Fill nesting button.
- The Fill nesting dialogue box opens. See also Fill nesting dialogue box.
- Select the Fill with articles from archive option and click OK.
- The Archive browser dialogue box opens. See also Archive browser dialogue box.
- Choose the archive and select the parts to be used for filling.
- Click on OK.
- If the Calculator opens: See also Calculator.
- If the Number dialogue box opens: See also Number dialogue box.
- For each article, specify how many parts are to be nested and confirm your entry accordingly.
- The Workpieces to nest dialogue box opens. See also Dialogue box with tables.
- List all workpieces to be nested here and click OK.
- The Fill nesting parameters dialogue box opens. See also Fill nesting parameters dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- If the Nesting parameters dialogue box opens: See also Nesting parameters dialogue box. Proceed to the next step.
- If the Nesting result dialogue box opens: See also Nesting result dialogue box. The parts were nested. Continue with step 9.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The parts are nested.
- The Nesting result dialogue box opens. See also Nesting result dialogue box.
- Click on OK.
- The function is ended.
Fill nesting: With difference parts
- Under Nesting > Nesting > Geometry nesting, click the Fill nesting button.
- The Fill nesting dialogue box opens. See also Fill nesting dialogue box.
- Select the Fill with difference parts option and click OK.
- The Workpieces to nest dialogue box opens and lists all difference parts. See also Dialogue box with tables.
- List all workpieces to be nested here and click OK.
- The Fill nesting parameters dialogue box opens. See also Fill nesting parameters dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- If the Nesting parameters dialogue box opens: See also Nesting parameters dialogue box. Proceed to the next step.
