Mini-nesting
The Mini-nesting function can be used to fill a sheet with the current part or a part from an archive.
Generate mini-nesting
- Under Nesting > Nesting > Geometry nesting, click the Mini-nesting button.
- The Select article dialogue box opens. See also: Select article dialogue box.
- Select an option and click OK.
- If a dialogue box for name assignment opens: Continue with the next step to save the current article.
- If the Archive browser opens: See also: Archive browser dialogue box. Continue with step 6.
- Enter the file name under which the article should be saved and click OK.
- The Select archive dialogue box opens. See also: Dialogue box with tables.
- Select the archive in which the article should be saved and click OK.
- If the Overwrite file dialogue box opens: See also: Overwrite file dialogue box. Proceed to the next step.
- If the Define nesting type dialogue box opens: Continue with step 7.
- Select an option and click OK.
- The Define nesting type dialogue box opens. See also: Define nesting type dialogue box. Continue with step 7.
- Select the archive and within it the part to be used for nesting and click OK.
- The Define nesting type dialogue box opens. See also: Define nesting type dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- If the Nesting parameters dialogue box opens: Depending on the selected nesting type, see also Nesting parameters dialogue box (Rectangle nesting) or. Nesting parameters dialogue box (Geometry nesting). Proceed to the next step.
- If the Workpiece parameters dialogue box opens: See also: Workpiece parameter dialogue box. Continue with step 9.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The Workpiece parameters dialogue box opens. Depending on the selected nesting type, see also Workpiece parameter dialogue box (Rectangle nesting) or. Workpiece parameter dialogue box (Geometry nesting).
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- If the Material pool dialogue box opens: See also: Dialogue box with tables. All available sheets are listed here. Continue with the next step.
- If the nesting is generated: The function is ended.
- Select all sheets from which a nesting is to be generated and click OK.
- If only 1 nesting is generated: The function is ended.
- If the Select nesting job dialogue box opens: See also: Dialogue box with tables.
- Select the desired nesting job and click OK.
- If you have selected a nesting job other than the one displayed, the display is updated first.
- Click OK.
- The function is ended.
