Remnant sheet
The Remaining sheet function can be used to create a remaining sheet in various ways:
- Using a selected contour path
- Using the current geometry
- Automatic calculation of a separation cut
- Manual generation of a separation cut using a grid
This function can be found here:
- Nesting > Separation cuts > Lasering
- Nesting > Separation cuts > Punching
Generate remaining sheet: Current geometry with separation cut
- You have opened a sheet of a nesting.
- Click the Remaining sheet button.
- The Remaining sheet parameters dialogue box opens. See also: Remnant sheet parameter dialogue box.
- Select the Current geometry with separation cut option and click OK.
- The Separation cut parameters dialogue box opens. See also: Separation cut parameters dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The Yes/No submenu opens.
- The area for the remaining sheet is marked in colour.
- If you want to generate the displayed remaining sheet, click Yes.
- The Remaining sheet parameters dialogue box opens. Depending on the technology selected for the separation cut, see also Remnant sheet parameters dialogue box (burning / milling) or Remnant sheet parameters dialogue box (punching). Continue with step 10.
- If you do not want to generate the displayed remaining sheet, click No.
- All other possible remaining sheets are displayed one after the other.
- After the last variation, a snap grid is displayed.
- Select individual points on the snap grid to create the desired separation cut.
- Click on Close.
- Click on the area of the desired remaining sheet.
- The Yes/No submenu opens.
- The area for the remaining sheet is marked in colour.
- Click Yes.
- The Remaining sheet parameters dialogue box opens. Depending on the technology selected for the separation cut, see also Remnant sheet parameters dialogue box (burning / milling) or Remnant sheet parameters dialogue box (punching).
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- If different layers of the remaining sheet are displayed: Proceed to the next step.
- If the Add special sheet dialogue box opens: See also: Add special sheet dialogue box. Continue with step 12.
- Select the desired position of the remaining sheet.
- The Add special sheet dialogue box opens. See also: Add special sheet dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The Sheet calculation dialogue box opens. See also: Sheet calculation dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The Separation cut parameters dialogue box opens. See also: Separation cut parameters dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The remaining sheet is generated.
Generate remaining sheet: Contour path as remaining sheet
- You have a sheet or a part open.
- Click the Remaining sheet button.
- The Remaining sheet parameters dialogue box opens. See also Remnant sheet parameter dialogue box (sheet) or Remnant sheet parameter dialogue box (part).
- Select the option Contour path as remaining sheet and click OK.
- Select the desired contour path.
- The Remaining sheet parameters dialogue box opens. See also: Remnant sheet parameters dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- If different layers of the remaining sheet are displayed: Proceed to the next step.
- If the Add special sheet dialogue box opens: See also: Add special sheet dialogue box. Continue with step 6.
- Select the desired position of the remaining sheet.
- The Add special sheet dialogue box opens. See also: Add special sheet dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The Sheet calculation dialogue box opens. See also: Sheet calculation dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- If you want to generate more remaining sheets, repeat steps 3 to 7.
- Click on Close.
- The remaining sheet is generated.
Generate remaining sheet: Current geometry as remaining sheet
- You have a sheet or a part open.
- Click the Remaining sheet button.
- The Remaining sheet parameters dialogue box opens. See also Remnant sheet parameter dialogue box (sheet) or Remnant sheet parameter dialogue box (part).
- Select the option Current geometry as remaining sheet and click OK.
- The Remaining sheet parameters dialogue box opens. See also: Remnant sheet parameters dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- If different layers of the remaining sheet are displayed: Proceed to the next step.
- If the Add special sheet dialogue box opens: See also: Add special sheet dialogue box. Continue with step 5.
- Select the desired position of the remaining sheet.
- The Add special sheet dialogue box opens. See also: Add special sheet dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The Sheet calculation dialogue box opens. See also: Sheet calculation dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The remaining sheet is generated.
