Part calculation
The Part calculation function can be used to calculate the maximum quantity of a part on different sheet sizes.
The result of the calculations is saved in the PART.HTM file in the \pnusers\default directory and opened in the standard program for HTM files.

Calculate maximum number of pieces on sheet size
- Click the Part calculation button.
- The Select article dialogue box opens. See also: Select article dialogue box.
- Select an option and click OK.
- If a dialogue box for name assignment opens: Continue with the next step to save the current article.
- If the Archive browser opens: See also: Archive browser dialogue box. Continue with step 6.
- Enter the file name under which the article should be saved and click OK.
- The Select archive dialogue box opens. See also: Dialogue box with tables.
- Select the archive in which the article should be saved and click OK.
- If the Overwrite file dialogue box opens: See also: Overwrite file dialogue box. Proceed to the next step.
- If the Define nesting type dialogue box opens: See also: Define nesting type dialogue box. Continue with step 7.
- Select an option and click OK.
- The Define nesting type dialogue box opens. See also: Define nesting type dialogue box.
- If you chose Yes: Continue with step 7.
- If you chose No: The current article is not saved and is not available for further processing. Cancel the function. Repeat the function and assign a different file name or select a different archive to save the article.
- Select the archive and the part you want to nest and click OK.
- The Define nesting type dialogue box opens. See also: Define nesting type dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The Nesting parameters dialogue box opens. See also: Nesting parameters dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The Workpiece parameters dialogue box opens. See also: Workpiece parameter dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The Material pool dialogue box opens. See also: Dialogue box with tables.
- Select your desired material and click OK.
- The calculation is performed and the result is output.
