Assembly
Assemblies are managed with the Assembly function. Here, you can generate, edit and delete assemblies.
Generate assembly with parts
- Under Config > Extras, click on the Assembly button.
- The Filter for assembly dialogue box opens. See also Filter for assembly dialogue box.
- If you want to restrict the following display of the existing assemblies, enter a text in one of the input fields.
- Click on OK.
- The Assemblies dialogue box opens. See also Dialogue box with tables.
- If an already generated assembly is selected, click in the free area below the listing to cancel the selection.
- Click Add.
- The Parameters dialogue box opens. See also Parameters dialogue box.
- Enter a name for the assembly and click OK.
- The Add dialogue box: Sub-assembly or parts opens. See also Add dialogue box: Sub-assembly or parts.
- Activate the Add parts from an NC archive option and click OK.
- The Archive browser dialogue box opens. See also Archive browser dialogue box.
- Select an archive and the parts you want to add to the assembly and click OK.
- The Quantity dialogue box opens. See also Number dialogue box.
- For each part, specify how many times it should be included in the assembly and click OK.
- The assembly is generated.
- The Assemblies dialogue box opens. See also Dialogue box with tables.
- Click on OK.
- The function is ended and the changes are applied.
Add a sub-assembly to an assembly
- The sub-assembly is generated as a normal assembly in the Assemblies dialogue box.
- Under Config > Extras, click on the Assembly button.
- The Filter for assembly dialogue box opens. See also Filter for assembly dialogue box.
- If you want to restrict the following display of the existing assemblies, enter a text in one of the input fields.
- Click on OK.
- The Assemblies dialogue box opens. See also Dialogue box with tables.
- Select the assembly to which you want to add the sub-assembly and click Add.
- The Add dialogue box: Sub-assembly or parts opens. See also Add dialogue box: Sub-assembly or parts.
- Select the Add a sub-assembly option and click OK.
- The Parameters dialogue box opens. See also Parameters dialogue box.
- Under Part, enter the name of the assembly you want to add as a sub-assembly and click OK.
- The assembly is added as a sub-assembly.
- The Assemblies dialogue box opens. See also Dialogue box with tables.
- Click on OK.
- The function is ended and the changes are applied.
