Contour modes

The Contour modes function can be used to replace existing contour operations with newly defined milling operations.

Replace machining manually with milling machining

  • You have opened the CAD or NC model of a part.
  1. Under Milling > Manual, click the Contour modes button.
  • All contour machining operations are highlighted in colour.
  1. Use the left mouse button to select the machining operation you want to change.
  • The machining operation is highlighted in colour.
  1. Make your desired settings and click OK.
  1. Use the left mouse button to select the starting point of the operation on the side where the operation is to be generated.
  • The starting point, the start element and the rest of the connected contour are highlighted in colour.
  1. Click with the right mouse button.
  • The entire contour is highlighted in colour.
  1. Use the left mouse button to select the end point of the processing.
  1. Click with the right mouse button.
  • The tool path is displayed.
  1. If you want to generate further machining operations, repeat steps 2 to 7.
  1. Click with the right mouse button.
  • The function is ended and the changes are applied.
