Pre-drill
The Pre-drill function is used to generate a hole at the starting point of a selected milling operation.
Pre-drill starting point for milling
- You have opened the CAD or NC model of a part.
- The desired drill is available as a tool.
- Under Milling > Manual > Drill identical, click the Pre-drill button.
- All existing machining operations are highlighted in colour.
- Select the element of a milling operation.
- The Tool management dialogue box opens. See also Dialogue box with tables.
- Select the desired drill and click OK.
- The Pre-drill dialogue box opens. See also Pre-drill dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings.
- Click on OK.
- The hole at the starting point of the milling operation is generated and displayed.
