Material definition dialogue box
Material number
The number of the material is entered here.
Material name
The name of the material is entered here.
Material group
The material group to which the material is to be assigned is selected here.
Material reference number
A material number is entered here, which as a reference expands the selection option of sheets from the material pool for a nesting.
If, for example, the same material has been created under different material numbers so that the cutting technologies can be distinguished (e.g. cutting with nitrogen, oxygen or also high-speed), the same sheet (the same material) is still used. This specification means that sheets with the material number specified here are also offered for the sheet selection.
Alternative material number
One or more material numbers are entered here, which as an alternative extend the selection option of parts from the order pool for nesting. Multiple numbers must be separated by semicolons (;).
By specifying an alternative material number, parts made of a different material or with a different technology are also offered for nesting when selecting parts from the order pool. For example, parts made of lower-grade material can be nested on higher-grade material as filler parts.
Comment
Comments can be entered here.
Rotation increment
Here you enter the number of steps into which a complete rotation of the part is to be divided (1 to 360). This results in the permissible angle of rotation for the part. The value -1 means that the rotary increment specification from the Parameters for a new NC session dialogue box is used.
Density
The density of the material is entered here. This value is used for the calculation of weights.
Min. material thickness
The minimum material thickness is entered here.
Max. material thickness
The maximum material thickness is entered here.
Material group for deduction values
Here you can select the material group for deduction values.
Yield strength
The yield strength is entered here.
Tensile strength
The tensile strength is entered here.
Heat capacity
The heat capacity is entered here.
Strain hardening exponent
The strain hardening exponent is entered here.
Modulus of elasticity
The modulus of elasticity is entered here.
