Ellipse
The Ellipse function generates an ellipse.
Generate ellipse
- Under CAD > Objects > Surface, click the Ellipse button.
- The calculator opens. See also Calculator.
- Enter the placement angle for the ellipse and confirm your entry.
- Enter the radius in the X direction and confirm your entry.
- Enter the radius in the Y direction and confirm your entry.
- The Ellipse parameters dialogue box opens. See also Parameters of the ellipse dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings.
- Click on OK.
- The Point selection submenu opens. See also Point selection (1) submenu.
- Choose a point selection function.
- Set the centre for the position of the ellipse according to your chosen point selection function.
- The ellipse is generated.
- If you want to generate more identical ellipses, repeat steps 7 and 8.
- Click Close.
- The function is ended.
