Point selection (1) submenu
Reference point
The Reference point function generates a new reference point for the input type "Incremental keyboard".
Incremental keyboard
The Incremental keyboard function generates a point relative to the last point entered. The offset is specified as an X and Y value.
Absolute keyboard
The function Keyboard absolute generates a point by entering absolute coordinates. The X/Y coordinate is in relation to the current zero point.
Snap point
The Snap point function is used to select an existing snap point.
Snap points are start and end points of elements, bisection points as well as centres of circles and arcs.
At the same time, a free point can be set by clicking with the middle mouse button.
Endpoint
The Endpoint function selects one of the two endpoints of an element.
Bisection point
The Bisection point function selects a point located at the centre of the element.
For a line this is the centre of the line, for an arc the point is at the centre of the arc.
Intersection
The Intersection function generates a new point at the intersection between two circle, arc or line elements. The elements themselves are not separated. If the two elements do not intersect directly, the possible intersection points are determined.
Centrepoint
The Centrepoint point function is used to select the centre point of a circle or arc.
Line point
The Line point function generates a point on a line at a distance from the end point.
The distance can be positive (point on the line) or negative (point outside the line).
Circle maxpoint
The Circle maxpoint function selects a point on a circle (arc) at an angle of 0°, 90°, 180° or 270°.
The point closest to the cursor is selected.
Free point
The Free point function generates a point at any cursor position.
Close
The Close function terminates and saves the action.
