Number of grids
The Number of grids function is used to generate a grid-like arrangement of round holes, slotted holes, rectangles or special shapes. The specified number of holes in the X and Y direction in conjunction with the distance determines the size of the grid.
Generate grid with quantity
- You have opened a CAD model or a sheet.
- Under CAD > Objects > Pattern, click the Number of grids button.
- The Number of grids dialogue box opens. See also Number of grids dialogue box.
- Select your desired geometry shape.
- Click on OK.
- A dialogue box opens according to the selected geometry shape:
Round hole parameters dialogue box
Slotted hole parameters dialogue box
Rectangle parameters dialogue box
Special tool parameters dialogue box
- Make the desired settings for the grid design.
- Click on OK.
- The Point selection submenu opens. See also Point selection (1) submenu.
- Choose a point selection function.
- Using your desired point selection function, select the location where you want to insert the grid.
- A grid-like arrangement is generated.
