Rolling direction
The Rolling direction function rotates the entire part so that search geometry existing on the part is aligned according to the default setting. With a click on the image of the search geometry, a new geometry can be defined. In addition, the colour of the search geometry can be changed to a specific colour after alignment so that it is not machined.
Set rolling direction
- Under CAD > Change > Align, click the Rolling directionbutton.
- The Rolling direction dialogue box opens. See also Rolling direction dialogue box.
- The search geometry is displayed.
- To define a new search geometry, click on the image of the search geometry. Otherwise, proceed with step 5).
- The Element selection submenu opens. See also Element selection (2) submenu.
- Choose your desired element selection function and select the desired elements.
- Confirm your selection with the Close button.
- The Rolling direction dialogue box opens. See also Rolling direction dialogue box.
- If you want to change the found geometry into colour, under Conversion select the check box Convert found geometry to colour.
- Click on OK.
- The rolling direction is set.
