Visible side
The Visible side function mirrors the part using search geometry existing on the part so that the visible side is at the top. With a click on the image of the search geometry, a new geometry can be defined. Furthermore, the search geometry can be converted to a specific colour after mirroring so that it will not be machined.
Set visible side
- Under CAD > Change > Align, click the Visible side button.
- The Visible side dialogue box opens. See also Visible side dialogue box.
- The search geometry is displayed.
- To define a new search geometry, click on the image of the search geometry. Otherwise, proceed with step 5).
- The Element selection submenu opens. See also Element selection (2) submenu.
- Choose your desired element selection function and select the desired elements.
- Confirm your selection with the Close button.
- The Visible side dialogue box opens. See also Visible side dialogue box.
- If you want to change the colour of the found geometry, under Conversion select the check box Convert found geometry to colour.
- Click on OK.
- The visible side is set.
