Line free
The Line free function is used to generate a separation cut with punching at a freely selectable position and angle. Various parameters for the separation cut can be set beforehand. The separation cut is made in such a way that part contours are not damaged.
Insert manually a separation cut with punching
- You have opened a sheet of a nesting.
- Under Nesting > Separation cuts > Punching, click the Line free button.
- The Separation cut parameters dialogue box opens. See also Separation cut parameters dialogue box.
- Make your desired settings and click OK.
- The program checks whether a suitable tool is available for the settings made.
- If the separation cut is displayed directly: A suitable tool is available. Continue with step 7.
- If the No tool extant dialogue box appears: See also No tool existence dialogue box. There is no suitable tool available. Continue with step 3.
- Activate the option Tool from standard tool file.
- The Tools dialogue box opens. See also Tools dialogue box.
- Select a tool category and click OK or use one of the tool selection buttons.
- The Tool management dialogue box opens. See also Dialogue box with tables.
- Select your desired tool and click OK.
- Click with the left mouse button in the workspace.
- The separation cut is displayed.
- Turn the separation cut with the right mouse button in the desired direction.
- Move the separation cut to the desired position with the left mouse button.
- Fix the separation cut with the middle mouse button.
- If you want to generate more separation cuts, repeat steps 7 to 9.
- Click Close.
- The function is ended and the changes are applied.
