Tool management
You can use the Tool management function to manage tools and tool lists. Tools and tool lists can be added, changed and deleted.
Change tool
- Under Config > Machines > Tool management, click the Tool management button.
- The Tool files dialogue box opens. See also: Tool files dialogue box.
- Select the tool list in which the tool is generated and click OK.
- The Tools dialogue box opens. See also: Tools dialogue box.
- Select the tool category to which the tool is assigned and click OK.
- The Tool management dialogue box opens. See also: Dialogue box with tables.
- Select the tool and click Change.
- The Tool data dialogue box opens. See also: Tool data dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The tool data are changed.
- The Tool management dialogue box opens. See also: Dialogue box with tables.
- Click OK.
- The Tools dialogue box opens. See also: Tools dialogue box.
- Click OK.
- The Pre-sort tool dialogue box opens. See also: Pre-sort tool dialogue box.
- Click OK.

Add tool
These instructions apply only to the addition of a standard tool. To add a tool to the categories Special shape, Forming and Embossing, see the Add special tool instructions.
- Under Config > Machines > Tool management, click the Tool management button.
- The Tool files dialogue box opens. See also: Tool files dialogue box.
- Select the tool list to which the tool is to be added and click OK.
- The Tools dialogue box opens. See also: Tools dialogue box.
- Select the tool category to which the tool should be assigned and click Add.
- The Tool data dialogue box opens. See also: Tool data dialogue box.
- Enter the required dimensions for the geometry and at least one ID number and station type.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The tool is generated.
- The Tool management dialogue box opens. See also: Dialogue box with tables.
- Click OK.
- The Tools dialogue box opens. See also: Tools dialogue box.
- Click OK.
- The Pre-sort tool dialogue box opens. See also: Pre-sort tool dialogue box.

Copy tool / special tool
- Under Config > Machines > Tool management, click the Tool management button.
- The Tool files dialogue box opens. See also: Tool files dialogue box.
- Select the tool list in which the tool is located and click OK.
- The Tools dialogue box opens. See also: Tools dialogue box.
- Select the tool category and click OK.
- The Tool management dialogue box opens. See also: Dialogue box with tables.
- Select the tool to be copied and click Copy.
- The tool is copied.
- The Tool data dialogue box opens and displays the tool data of the copy. See also: Tool data dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The tool is generated.

- Click OK.
- The Tools dialogue box opens. See also: Tools dialogue box.
- Click OK.

Add special tool: Use existing special shape
These instructions only apply to adding a tool to the categories Special shape, Forming and Embossing.
- Under Config > Machines > Tool management, click the Tool management button.
- The Tool files dialogue box opens. See also: Tool files dialogue box.
- Select the tool list to which the tool is to be added and click OK.
- The Tools dialogue box opens. See also: Tools dialogue box.
- Select the tool category Special shape, Forming or Embossing and click Add.
- The Geometry shape dialogue box opens. See also: Geometry shape dialogue box.
- Select the basic shape for the new tool and, if necessary, the angular position.
- The Tool data dialogue box opens. See also: Tool data dialogue box.
- Enter the required dimensions for the geometry and at least one ID number and station type.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The tool is generated.

- Click OK.

- Click OK.

Add special tool: Generate new special shape
These instructions only apply to adding a tool to the categories Special shape, Forming and Embossing.
- The shape of the tool is available in the opened CAD model.
- The zero point of the CAD model corresponds to the stroke point of the tool.
- Under Config > Machines > Tool management, click the Tool management button.
- The Tool files dialogue box opens. See also: Tool files dialogue box.
- Select the tool list to which the tool is to be added and click OK.
- The Tools dialogue box opens. See also: Tools dialogue box.
- Select the tool category Special shape, Forming or Embossing and click Add.
- The Geometry shape dialogue box opens. See also: Geometry shape dialogue box.
- Select the Special shape entry and click OK.
- The Element selection submenu opens. See also: Element selection (2) submenu.
- Choose an element selection function and select the geometry of the tool accordingly.
- Click on Close.
- The Tool data dialogue box opens. See also: Tool data dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and enter at least an ID number and a station type.
- Click OK.
- The tool is generated.

- Click OK.

Add special tool via a graphic
- Under Config > Machines > Tool management, click the Tool management button.

- Select your desired tool file and click OK.

- Select your desired special tool and click OK.

- Select Special shape and click OK.

- Select a function for element selection.
- Select according to the geometry for which the special tool is to be created.
- Click on Close.

- Make your desired settings.
- Click OK.

- Select your desired station and click OK.

Transfer tools
- Under Config > Machines > Tool management, click the Tool management button.

- Select the tool list in which the tool is generated and click OK.

- Select the tool category to which the tool is assigned and click OK.

- Select the tools to be transferred and click Transfer.

- Select the check box for the tool lists to which the tools are to be transferred and click OK.

- Click on Delete.

- Click on OK.
- The tool is deleted.

Change the designation of a tool list
- Under Config > Machines > Tool management, click the Tool management button.
- The Tool files dialogue box opens. See also Tool files dialogue box.
- Select your desired tool list.
- Click Change.
- A dialogue box for assigning a designation opens.
- Change the designation as desired.
- Click on OK.
- The designation is changed.
- The Tool files dialogue box opens. See also Tool files dialogue box.
- Click on OK.
- The function is ended.
Add tool list
- Under Config > Machines > Tool management, click the Tool management button.
- The Tool files dialogue box opens. See also Tool files dialogue box.
- Click Add.
- A dialogue box for assigning a designation opens.
- Enter a designation for the tool list.
- Click on OK.
- The Query dialogue box opens. See also Query dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings.
- Click on OK.
- The Tool files dialogue box opens. See also Tool files dialogue box.
- The new tool list is listed.
- If you want to add tools to the new tool list or change or delete tools, continue with the corresponding instructions.
- Click Back.
- The Pre-sort tool dialogue box opens. See also Pre-sort tool dialogue box.
- Click on OK.

Copy tool list
- Under Config > Machines > Tool management, click the Tool management button.
- The Tool files dialogue box opens. See also Tool files dialogue box.
- Select the tool list to be copied and click Copy.
- A dialogue box for assigning a designation opens.
- Enter a name for the copy of the tool list and click OK.
- The Copy tools dialogue box opens. See also Copy tools dialogue box.
- Select an option and click OK.
- If the Tool files dialogue box opens: The tool list has been copied with all the tools it contains. Continue with step 8.
- If the Tools dialogue box opens: See also Tools dialogue box. Continue with step 5.
- If you want to restrict the following display of tools, select a tool category.
- Click on OK.
- The Tool management dialogue box opens. See also Dialogue box with tables.
- Select the tools to be copied to the new tool list and click OK.
- The Tool files dialogue box opens. See also Tool files dialogue box.
- The new tool list is listed.
- If you want to add tools to the new tool list or change or delete tools, continue with the corresponding instructions.
- Click Back.

Delete tool list
- Under Config > Machines > Tool management, click the Tool management button.

- Select your desired tool list.
- Click on Delete.

- Select the check box for Delete tool list.
- Click on OK.
- The tool list is deleted.
