Extended parameters tab
Parameters for multi-torches
Fixed distance
This option uses the fixed distances entered under Fixed distance stage 1/2/3 for each torch stage.
Variable distance
With this option, the distance between torches is variable and is calculated based on the part dimension and the minimum distance between parts. It is limited by the parameters from and to under Variable distance.
Separate torch stages
The separation of the torch stages is activated here. In the case of an existing multi-torch nesting, no more parts are placed in gaps.
Do not display torch copy
The display of the torch copy is deactivated here. Torch copies are no longer displayed on the sheet.
Torch arrangement
The direction in which the torches are arranged on a multi-torch system is selected here.
Number of torches Stage 1
The number of torches used in stage 1 is entered here. Enter the maximum number of torches here. The maximum number is nested first.
Number of torches Stage 2
The number of torches used in stage 2 is entered here. Enter the next smaller number of torches here. The remaining parts are nested to this number if they could not be nested with the maximum number of torches.
Number of torches Stage 3
The number of torches used in stage 3 is entered here. Enter the smallest number of torches here. All remaining parts remaining from the previous levels are nested to this number.
Fixed distance Stage 1/2/3
The distance between the torches is entered here for each torch stage.
Variable distance
Here, you enter in the input fields from and to how small or how large the maximum distance between the torches may be.
Parameters
Combine orders
The combining of orders is activated here. Different orders of the same parts are added together during nesting and nested one after the other.
Clearing
The parameters for optimising the clearing of the parts are selected here.
- 0: Optimise nesting for maximum sheet utilisation only.
- 1: Distribute orders on as few sheets as possible.
- 2: Nest parts in order of parts list.
Part / Groups
The parameters for nesting the individual parts or groups are selected here.
- 0: Nesting of the single part and groups according to the maximum utilisation of the sheet.
- 1: Only nesting of individual parts, no groups.
- 2: Only nesting of groups, no individual parts.
Parameters for "Determine one format only"
Calculate possible remaining sheet area
The calculation of the possible remaining sheet area is activated here. The smallest waste area is used to determine the optimum sheet. With this option, a possible residual area is also taken into account. After nesting, the residual area itself must be generated by suitable functions (separation cut).
Minimum edge length for residual area
Here, you enter the edge length that a residual area must have in at least one direction.
Parameters for parts
Free rotation from increment
The value for the free rotation from increment is entered here. If a part has a rotation increment equal to or greater than the value specified here, the part may be rotated to any angular position for nesting.
Rectangular nesting of individual parts
Here, you can select whether parts are to be nested rectangularly or not.
- Never: No items are nested rectangularly.
- Common cut items only: Only items suitable for common cut will be nested rectangularly.
- All items: All items are nested rectangularly, regardless of whether they are suitable for common cut or not.
Group common cut items
This activates that items which are suitable for common cut are grouped.
