Align in X (elements)
The Align in X (elements) function rotates the selected elements together around a freely selectable point. The angle of rotation results from the position of a selected line relative to the X axis. The smaller angle to the X axis is taken as the rotation angle.
Align individual elements to the X axis
- Under CAD > Change > Align, click the Align in X (elements) button.
- The Element selection submenu opens. See also Element selection (2) submenu.
- Choose a function and select the elements to be aligned accordingly.
- The elements are highlighted in colour.
- Click Close.
- Choose a function and select a line accordingly. The deviation of the line from the X axis defines the angle of rotation for the elements selected in step 2.
- The line is highlighted in colour.
- Click Close.
- The Point selection submenu opens. See also Point selection (1) submenu.
- Select a function and enter a point accordingly. This is the pivot point around which the elements selected in step 2 are rotated.
- The selected elements are rotated accordingly.
