Nest compilation drawing

With the function Nest compilation drawing, the processing of all parts is generated from a compilation drawing. From this, a completely programmed sheet with the individual parts on it is generated.

The parts in the compilation drawing must not touch or overlap one another and there must be a rectangle completely surrounding them. The rectangle becomes a sheet.

Then, the material, the machine and a part loop are selected for machining. The result is a nesting with the programmed parts. The nesting can be restarted at any time using the Geometry nesting or Rectangle nesting functions.

Creating a sheet from a compilation drawing

  • You have opened a CAD model that contains several part drawings that are surrounded by a rectangle.
  1. Under Extras > Article, click on the Nest compilation drawing button.
  • The Machines dialogue box opens.
  1. Select your desired machine and click OK.
  1. Select your desired material type and click OK.
  1. Select your desired part loop and click OK.
  1. Activate the desired functions of the part loop and click OK.
  • A dialogue box for assigning a file name opens.
  1. Assign a file name for the sheet and click OK.
  1. Select the archive in which you want to save the sheet and click OK.
  • Depending on the possibilities of the selected machine, you will be guided through further dialogue boxes in which you can make settings for the machine and the processing.
  • The sheet with the individual parts on it is generated.
NOTICE

The resulting sheet can then be recalculated using the Geometry nesting and Rectangle nesting functions.
