Create macro
The Create macro function is used to assign a machining operation to a specific geometry. This machining operation is inserted whenever the specific geometry is found by the Punching auto, Lasering auto or Combi auto functions.
Create macro
- Under Config > Machines, click the Create macro button.
- The Element selection submenu opens. See also Element selection (2) submenu.
- Select an element selection function and select the CAD elements to be searched for the macro.
- The selected elements are highlighted in colour.
- Click Close.
- The NC element selection submenu opens. See also NC element selection submenu.
- All NC elements are highlighted in colour.
- Select an element selection function and select the NC elements that are to be placed later as machining operations when the geometry determined in step 2 is found.
- The selected elements are highlighted in colour.
- Click Close.
- The Set zero point dialogue box opens. See also Set zero point dialogue box.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- A dialogue box for assigning a file name opens.
- Enter the file name under which the macro is to be saved and click OK.
- The Select archive dialogue box opens. See also Dialogue box with tables.
- Select the archive in which the macro is to be saved and click OK.
- If the Macro parameters dialogue box opens: See also Macro parameters dialogue box. Continue with step 10.
- If the Overwrite file dialogue box opens: See also Overwrite file dialogue box. A macro with the same name already exists in the selected archive. Proceed to the next step.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- If you have selected the Yes option: The macro is saved and the Macro parameters dialogue box opens. See also Macro parameters dialogue box. Continue with the next step.
- If you have selected the No option: The macro is not saved and is not available for use. Cancel the function. Repeat the function and assign a different file name or select a different archive to save the macro.
- Configure your desired settings and click OK.
- The Create macro dialogue box opens. See also Create macro dialogue box.
- Specify whether the macro should be applied to additional machines and click OK.
- If you selected the Yes option: The Machines dialogue box opens. See also Dialogue box with tables. Proceed to the next step.
- If you have selected the No option: The function is ended.
- Select the machines for which the macro should also be applied and click OK.
- The function is ended.
